What is the anatomy of an "it girl"? Is she a trendsetter who makes whatever clothes she wears fly off racks? Does she possess various talents that make her a ubiquitous force in different fields? Is there something more to her than just being a pretty face or having a famous last name?
If we were to refer to the OG it girls (who are now proud it moms), it takes more than just looking good and toting designer bags. An it girl has a certain aura and caliber of influence that makes us eat up every move she makes. Whether they're an up-and-coming leading lady or a stylish star to watch, these ladies have the power to dictate what's in and what's out.
Ahead, we enumerate the Gen Z personalities who we strongly believe are on their way to earning the coveted title. We're calling it: They're this generation's new it girls that you definitely need on your radar!
1. Angelina Cruz
In an interview with Candy, Angelina Cruz admitted that she knows the opportunities she gets are partly because of her celebrity parents. But make no mistake, this doesn't stop her from carving out her own space in the industry.
Still immersed in her college years, Angelina has already lent her luster to numerous product campaigns and endorsements. She's also taken after her musically-inclined family and has released a couple of singles of her own. Last 2021, she just made her big screen debut in Love Is Colorblind, acting alongside Gen Z powerhouses Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano.

2. Lorin Gutierrez
An evident purveyor of the omnipresent Y2K trend, Lorin Gutierrez has everyone lowering their waistlines and cropping their tops. More than just imbibing the style philosophies of Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, Ruffa Gutierrez's eldest is never one to take bashing sitting down. She's an outspoken voice, a total bombshell, and an unapologetic free spirit.

3. Claudia Barretto
Despite hailing from one of the most powerful clans in show business, Claudia Barretto has kept things pretty low-key, but this only led the spotlight to look for her. A psychology graduate from the top univeristy in the Philippines, the 22-year-old is one of beauty and brains (plus a golden voice, having released a couple songs even when she was deep into her studies). Did we mention she also saved up her own money for a graduation trip to Europe? Now that's a gal to look up to.

4. Atasha Muhlach
Getting invited to the Le Bal des Debutantes in Paris is basically receiving a golden ticket in life. While, yes, she may have gotten noticed because of her celebrity magnate parents, Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzales, Atasha Muhlach proves that she's the belle of her own ball. Local and international brands alike couldn't resist having her front their campaigns, and we're confident that she has what it takes to become the next big thing on the catwalk.

5. Juliana Gomez
There was a time Juliana Gomez thought she was adopted because of how gorgeous her parents were. But thankfully, after coming of age and growing into her own spaces, the Gen Z star has proven that she has a starpower of her own. Aside from being a consistent face in our style inspo folders, Juliana also kills it on the mat as a bonafide fencer whose wit is as sharp as her spear.

6. Kyline Alcantara
While Kyline Alcantara had to build her name from the ground up, lining up at go-sees and auditions at an age where she could've been watching cartoons, she's definitely cemented her spot in the industry. GMA has been priming her as the next generation's premier kontrabida, and if her performances in I Left My Heart in Sorsogon and Kambal Karibal are any indication, she's set to become one of those girls that we just absolutely hate to love. We're also loving her tandem with Mavy Legaspi, but TBH, with or without a love team partner, Kyline's a force to be reckoned with.
