You Can Become a Game Tester for This New Pinoy Video Game
Every gamer would take the opportunity to play a few rounds for fun, but what if you can take your favorite hobby into something that can help out the rest of the community? If you're a video game enthusiast who wants to lend a helping hand to indie game developers, here's your chance.
A group of independent video game developers is looking for game testers to give locally (and even internationally) made video games a test run, including Balete City, the fantasy video game based on Philippine mythology and stories.
As a game tester, you'll need to "play systematically and look out for problems" in the game. The team will need help in fleshing out side quests and spells as well as grimoire contents for the game. You'll also need to keep an eye out for grammatical errors, story lapses, issues with audio and graphics, and glitches. By participating, you'll also get to help out in buidling the in-game city called Balete as well as the school called Balete High (which serves as a battleground in the game), so if you're someone who dreams of being an architect, this might be a good chance to live out your passion. You'll be playing a vital part in making sure the final product is free of potential loopholes and errors.
Aside from Balete City, the kinds of games you'll get to play include horror games, RPG, third-person shooting games, fighting games, and dating games.
Everyone is welcome to apply, even high school and college students. If you're not up for becoming a game tester, you can opt to apply as a streamer instead. In return, the developers will provide you with the final product free of charge. If you're interested in applying to become a game tester, you may visit Balete City's Facebook page.
