Francine Diaz first made her debut as a teen actress in 2014 as Young Ana Mauricio in the crime drama series Ipaglaban Mo. Since then, countless opportunities have been knocking at Francine’s door. She has been widely recognized and heavily praised for her versatility in acting, perfectly nailing the persona of every role she has taken. Now 19 years old, she is one of the most promising teen  actresses that the local showbiz industry needs to watch out for.

  1. Dirty Linen (2023)

Dirty Linen is Francine’s latest work, and its first episode premiered on January 23, 2023. Netizens took to social media a few days after the pilot aired to hype up the underlying messages of the series and the undeniable talent the cast displayed. In particular, Francine plays the role of Chiara R. Fiero, the daughter of a rich and aristocratic family whose houseworkers have been disappearing one by one. A combination of suspense, crime fiction, the Dirty Linen challenges  Francine’s acting abilities as she portrays a clueless character in the midst of chaos,which has their viewers biting their nails as they wait for the next episodes. 

  1. Kadenang Ginto (2018-2020)

This popular revenge series aired its pilot episode on October 8, 2018. Otherwise known as The Legend of the Dragon Lady, Kadenang Ginto focuses on the rivalry between Cassie and Marga (played by Francine and Andrea Brillantes respectively). People immediately took a liking to it, especially with its all-star cast and memorable lines. Its addictive storyline even earned an accolade at the PMPC Star Awards for TV Best Daytime Drama Series.

  1. Bola Bola (2022)

Bola Bola is a mini TV series that only spans for six episodes. Francine plays the main character Thea, a 200-pound late bloomer who physically transforms herself in order to be with her long-time crush Lucas (played by KD Estrada). This series is a cute and refreshing coming-of-age show which tackles the struggles of young love and body insecurities. This can really tug at the heartstrings of every young adolescent who have undergone the same experiences of self-doubt and self-love as Francine’s character.

  1. Her Rules, Her No’s (2020)

Otherwise known as Bawal Lumabas: The Series, this mini series was directed by Benedict Mique Jr. It  features Emerald (played by Kim Chiu) who works hard to ensure a good future for all of her siblings: Jade, Ruby, and Onyx. However, Francine’s character Jade has no plans of being obedient and rebels against the rules set by her older sister. This teleserye tackles the concept of the oldest sibling syndrome and the complications of Filipino families. 

  1. Silly Red Shoes (2019)

Directed by James Robin Mayo, this film is a reimagination of the popular Disney film Cinderella. However, its plot twist is focused on Francine’s character Ashley being born with a unique pair of feet. She is paired with an amateur shoemaker named Chuck (played by Kyle Echarri) for a shoemaking contest that they joined. Throughout the contest, they begin to discover just how suitable they are for each other, so get ready for kilig overload!

  1. Ipaglaban Mo! (2014)

This television series is a public service and advocacy-driven legal drama broadcasted by Kapamilya Channel under ABS-CBN. It is in the “Pagkilala sa Ama” episode that 10-year-old Francine made her first TV appearance as a Young Ana Mauricio, whose older version had been played by Mylene Dizon. However, Francine made several other appearances in the show as younger versions of main characters.
