ICYMI, Seth Fedelin and Francine Diaz recently starred in the music video for Ace Banzuelo’s hit ballad “Muli.” FranSeth shippers were going crazy over the pair’s natural chemistry when the MV dropped last weekend, and we totally get the hype!
Ace’s song “Muli” narrates the heartache of growing apart from a romantic partner. To match the haunting tune, the viral video features two former lovers—played by Seth and Francine—who struggle to move on from their past relationship. The MV uses dark imagery and broken props to depict the characters’ ongoing pain, but there are also lots of ~sweet moments~ that serve as nostalgic flashbacks of their days together.
“Everything was heavy on symbolism, but still reflects the intensity of the song,” MV Director Jake Soriano explained in a past interview. “[Francine and Seth] are easy to work with, because aside from being good actors, they’re also very kind and professional, and both are super funny. We always get a good laugh during shoots.”
Given this original concept, it’s no wonder that a powerhouse duo was chosen to star in this MV. Case in point: FRANSETHxACE MULI MV was the number-one trending topic on Twitter a few hours before the MV was even released. Currently, the music video also takes the fifth spot on YouTube's trending music list.
After the video premiere, netizens immediately rushed to Twitter to gush over Francine and Seth’s ~natural~ chemistry.
Eagle-eyed fans also noted that Ace referred to Francine and Seth as a “couple” during his IG live last weekend.
Internet users were amazed by how beautifully heartbreaking the music video is, especially with Francine and Seth’s superb character portrayals.
Most fans, however, were just proud to see how much the tandem has improved since Kadenang Ginto.
