After proclaiming that she can accept suitors but that her career is still her priority after her debut last January, Francine Diaz admitted in the press conference for her new iWantTFC series Bola Bola that she has never actually been asked out on a date before.
"Never pa ako yinaya for a date. Never pa akong nag-aya. Siguro indirectly? Hindi man sinabi na big girl ako pero dati kasi alam ko na hindi ako ganun ka-sexy. I mean, hindi ko naman sinasabi na ganun na ako ka-sexy pero I would say na nagdadalaga na ako ngayon (laughs). Unlike before na talagang bata, and may siopao face," she shared.
Francine said that though she has never been courted before, she has already experienced ~puppy love~. "Never pa akong naligawan. I think nabola lang. Pero hindi naman siya seryosong bola. Kumbaga siyempre, kabataan, nasa teenage life. May mga pa-fall. So I think wala pang nanligaw sa akin ever. Bola lang talaga (laughs)," she divulged.
When asked if that meant she already fell for someone in the past, she candidly agreed without giving away too many details: "Konti. Naniwala so na-fall (laughs).”
The young actress also admitted that she can tell when someone is genuine with their feelings. "Siguro ang hindi bola sa akin kapag totoo kang tao and kapag straightforward ka without being mean naman. Kasi may mga straightforward na basta basta lang nagsasalita at walang konsiderasyon sa mga words na sinasabi nila."
"For me, I think ang hindi bola is maging mabait ka and marespeto sa tao, sa babae, and yung walang pa-ligoy ligoy. Kasi kapag may pa-hint hint ka, yan ang bola talaga (laughs). Either maging forward ka or mag-shut up ka na lang,” she joked.
