Filipinos and their love for lumpia are unmatched. The hype behind the beloved ulam is so great that it even inspired viral memes on social media. The thing is, Pinoys aren't the only ones whipped for the birthday party staple handa. Even international celebrities have fallen for the charm of the local ulam: The latest one to confess being Midsommar and Little Women star Florence Pugh.
ABS-CBNÂ reports that the 25-year-old actress shared on her Instagram Stories that she grew up eating lumpia thanks to her best friend's Pinay mother who would cook it whenever they have sleepovers. "She knew I loved them and would make a batch, freeze them, package them up for me to take home after our sleepover," she shares.
And in case you didn't know, Pugh also loves to cook. Just a peak at her Instagram page and you'll see her posts about the dishes she's cooked so far. Now that she's professed her love for lumpia, she even proposed the idea of making it for her next cooking challenge.Â
Pugh isn't the first Hollywood celeb to indulge in making Pinoy food. Most recently, Selena Gomez also learned how to cook adobo from Filipino-American chef Jordan Andino. Cardi B also once took to Instagram Stories to share her love for lumpia and pancit.
