Chang Soon said: "I started getting interested in martial arts when I saw Choo Sung Hoon and Yano Shiho together. It felt sad watching Yano Shiho cry as she watched her husband fight in a match. I started paying more attention to the families of martial arts fighters.” You can actually watch Shiho crying while watching one of Sung Hoon's matches in this episode of The Return Of Superman.

The writer further added that he studied martial arts fighter for the drama. At first, he thought they are into drinking and women but he soon realized that they are individuals who live a simple life. "In order to maintain their form, they have no choice but to kind of live like a monk. I wanted to get rid of the stereotypes surrounding martial arts fighters. I studied a lot by going to a lot of matches and watching a lot of videos. The stories of the family members who couldn’t bear to watch the matches were really sad, and watching the fighters who lost the match cry as they walked out the ring all felt really sad.”

Choo Sung Hoon is a Japanese mixed martial arts fighter of Korean descent and his wife, Yano Shiho, is a Japanese model. As we mentioned, the two have a daughter named Choo Sarang and they appeared on The Return Of Superman from 2013-2017.

In 2018, the family moved to Hawaii and Shiho shared their main reasons for migrating: “My daughter’s education, family time together, and to challenge myself.” Last year, they showed their stunning home in the said country in a TV show.

Sarang is all grown-up now—she's already nine years old, can you believe?! We literally saw her as a little girl on The Return Of Superman! In a recent episode of SBS' Master In The House, appa Sung Hoon tried doing a video call with his daughter, but she didn't respond. "These days, Sarang doesn’t really answer my calls.” Awww! (Sarang, however, eventually picked up the phone with her mom and got more excited about learning that one of their favorite camera men from their The Return Of Superman das was working with her appa during his guesting on the show! Cute!)
