Valenzuela City Mayor Rex Gatchalian got flak for the wrong yet funny reasons. Netizens thought he allowed a holy procession to take place in Valenzuela when in fact this procession happened in Venezuela—the country, not the city! In a tweet posted last April 9, Mayor Gatchalian clarified, "Mga Sirs and Ma'ams, Mayor po ako ng dakilang lungsod ng Valenzuela. Hindi po ng bansa na Venezuela..." LOL!

A fashion designer creates Power Rangers-inspired PPE suits for healthcare workers.

Iloilo-based fashion designer-slash-registered nurse Adrian Pe is known for his colorful PPE suit designs for frontliners working at The Medical City Iloilo. He’s previously done a Teletubbies set which are also very cute.

In his Instagram post, Adrian talks about his idea behind the Power Rangers theme: “My goal is for each members of the healthcare team to feel confident rather than scared when they step inside the battlefield each day. The Pink Ranger once said, ‘We can't change the past but we can work for a better future.’ I hope these hazmat suits empower everyone, nurses and patients alike. It's morphin' time!” We know a true Power Rangers fan when we see one!
