Everything We Know About Donny Pangilinan's E-Sports Film "GG"

It will be the first full-length e-sports film in the country.

GG, an acronym for "good game," centers around Seth, a determined aspiring gamer who immerses himself in the world of video games while navigating the various challenges within his own family.

During the official contract signing, Anthony Pangilinan posted a photo calling the movie "the first full-length e-sports film" in the country. Sounds exciting!

Donny's mom is also part of the cast!

The Pangilinan family is just overflowing with talent! Aside from Donny, the movie also stars his mother, Maricel Laxa, marking the first time that they've worked together. So cute!

"First time namin ni mom na magka-work sa isang project together so, I think the preparation came with direk, the team. Beforehand, syempre nag-usap kami kung anong character ‘yung gusto nilang i-portray ko rito, si Seth,” he says in an interview. “And it just came with a lot of ideas together, a collaboration where we formed a character that was very different from my previous roles and I also had to get immersed in the world of gaming. So a lot of preparations for that as well.”

The film will be produced by Donny's sister, Hannah.

You guys, Donny's sister, Hannah Pangilinan, also worked on the film as a creative producer!

"Finally, i can share the reason i’ve been MIA, so blessed to be able to produce this movie together with @mediaworks.apg @cignalentertainment and @create.cinema," she wrote on Instagram. "I’ve been learning so much and it’s just the beginning! Thankful to everyone that made this shoot happen, off to post-prod we go! Can’t wait to bring this project into color."
