Emily in Paris fans will not be bidding adieu to their favorite Parisian yet, as Netflix announced this morning the show's renewal for a third and fourth season! Season 2 ends with a cliffhanger, and it's exciting to see where the series will go from there. Netflix has yet to confirm if we will be seeing the same faces from Season 2.Â
The lead star, Lily Collins, took her excitement about the newsto Instagram minutes after the official announcement came out on the official Instagram page of Emily in Paris today. She also thanked the show’s supporters.Â
The romantic-comedy series tells the story of Emily Cooper, a twenty-something marketing executive from Chicago, who unexpectedly moves to Paris because of a job opportunity in a French marketing firm. Social media-savvy Emily embarks on her new job of providing an American perspective to the firm as she deals with cultural differences, forges new friendships, and finds love. In one interview, Lily summed the series up as a story of “self-love in the City of Love."
In the same interview, Lily shared that she also lived in Paris for four months during the series' shooting. Coincidentally, Lily shared that she had encountered what her character had gone through in the series. Like Emily, she experienced losing hot water for two weeks. ICYDK, the series' writing team also lived in Paris while working on the script as part of their research!
The series also stars French actors Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Camille Razat, and Lucas Bravo, along with Korean-American Broadway star Ashley Park.Â
