In an interview with New York magazine, Dakota Fanning's sister, Elle, shared that she loves playing characters with many emotions. She says, "I'd love to play a really crazy person—someone truly out of her mind."

She also talks about separating her school clothes from her personal clothes with just one slide of her closet door. That way, when she slides it one way, she only sees her going-out clothes and vice versa.

Ever seen her with BOB DYLAN written on her wrist? There's an explanation for that: "I write it on my hand every day in school, mostly when I'm bored. I've been doing it since I was pretty young. I used to do it for fun, but now it's a nervous tic."
