Elisse Joson's Mini Tattoos Will Make You Want to Get One ASAP
Elisse Joson has been in the entertainment industry for a few years now. She even got to be a part of the popular reality TV program Pinoy Big Brother where she was able to step outside of her comfort zone and share more about the ~realest~ sides of her to the rest of the country.
But Elisse has a lot more to offer outside of her commonly talked about dating life and her showbiz career. The young actress is not afraid to dream big and take risks in life. She's also a businesswoman with a heart for helping others and, most recently, a recording artist. Curious to know more about Elisse? Here are six more things you might not know about her:
Elisse is an only child.
Born Maria Chriselle Elisse Joson Diuco on January 6, 1996, Elisse is currently 24 years old and a Capricorn (for the astrology enthusiasts who are curious). She is an only child and lives together with her mom. Although they have the usual mom-and-daughter fights, the typical family misunderstandings, and that they admittedly are not showy with their feelings, the two share a really close bond with each other.
Elisse is from Bataan.
Elisse was born in Balanga City, Bataan and lived her childhood life there. Her family migrated to the U.S. when she was 10. At age 15, they went back to the Philippines. That was also the time when Elisse auditioned for Star Magic, which marked the beginning of her career in the local entertainment industry.
Elisse has since starred in various shows as a Kapamilya such as Sandugo and The Good Son. Her rise to fame was most notable when she entered Bahay ni Kuya and became a celebrity housemate for the reality show's Lucky Season 7 alongside Jinri Park, McCoy de Leon, JK Labajo, and Yassi Pressman.
She’s good at cooking.
Just like us, Elisse was also able to discover new things about herself and take on new hobbies during quarantine. She recently discovered that she’s actually ~capable~ of cooking thanks to spending most her time these days at home. Elisse isn't afraid to experiment with the dishes she makes. She even made a cooking challenge video where she made creamy spinach pasta using only the ingredients she has in her kitchen.
Aside from being an actress, Elisse is a businesswoman.
In hopes of having something to work on outside of showbiz, Elisse started a restobar called Bites by Stylisse where they mainly serve cheesecakes of different flavors. The branch is located in Mandaluyong City. During quarantine, however, they had to close down the establishment and decided to go online instead.
Because they currently do not have any helpers at home, Elisse says it's just her and her mom who work on everything, from cooking and baking to posting food shots on social media. In an interview with Magandang Buhay, Elisse shares that she is the one in charge of the the actual cooking and baking while her mom is in charge of preparing the needed materials and washing dishes.
Through her food business, Elisse and her mom are also giving back and helping out those in need. They’ve partnered up with an organization to help feed children. "Noong nawala yung taping, nagkaroon ako ng time to reflect. Parang naisip ko, kahit hindi rin ganoon kalaki yung nakukuha ko ngayon na income, parang gusto kong mayroong gawin kahit paano," Elisse shares in the same interview.
She wants to pursue medicine.
While acting is a dream come true for Elisse and fashion design was a passion she pursued in college (she took up Fashion Design and Merchandising at De La Salle - College of St. Benilde), there's also another profession that Elisse hopes to pursue in the future: to become a doctor. She looks up to her mom who is a doctor by profession (an anesthesiologist to be specific!) and hopes to become just like her in 10 years or so.
She has two tattoos (so far!).
If you take a closer look at her Instagram posts, you'll occasionally spot her two minimalist tattoos. Elisse has one tiny tatt of a heartbeat on her finger and a rain cloud design on her rib cage.
Her favorite place is the beach.
Elisse is also a beach bum like many of us. She once said in a Q&A on her YouTube channel that, if given the chance, she'd love to hang out and spend a day with her fans at her favorite place--the beach.
