Forbes revealed this year's biggest movers and makers under the age of 30, and we're happy to report that some of your fave celebrities made it to the list. Best morning news, ever, or what? With the help of a panel of judges, they have gathered 30 people from different fields that have made an impact in their chosen careers. Who among your faves made it? We gathered five of your faves from the fields of music and entertainment so you can fangirl over them more this year. Scroll down to find out.


  1. 5 Seconds of Summer. The Australian pop punk band made the headlines when One Direction asked them to open their Take Me Home tour in 2013. Now they have a self-titled album and several chart-topping hit songs under their name.

  2. Ed Sheeran. This 23-year-old English singer first made a name for himself by playing in different small venues in his country every year. At present, Ed has won different awards, made two awesome albums, and had lots of hit songs and covers to boast. And ICYDK, he can also dance

  3. Sam Smith. With six Grammy nominations, how can you not include this 22-year-old on the list? 

  4. Charli XCX. Her song "Fancy" with Iggy Azalea earned the two musicians two Grammy nominations, and the song she co-wrote for Icona Pop, "I Love It" are selling more than two million copies in the US alone!

  5. Meghan Trainor. For eight consecutive weeks, her breakout song "All About That Bass" (which is all about loving your body, BTW) stayed at the top of the US Billboard Hot 100. The song also earned her two Grammy nomsRecord of the Year and Song of the Year.


  1. Ansel Elgort. He acts, produces music, sings, and even dances. What can't he do? Ansel won our hearts after his notable performances in YA films, like Carrie, Divergent, and The Fault in Our Stars.

  2. Zac Efron. It's easy for Zac to get lost in the list of child actors who peaked early and whose careers lost momentum after a while. But the High School Musical star reinvented himself and became one of our favorite comedians after his performances in Neighbors and That Awkward Moment.

  3. Emma Watson. Aside from being an actress (and maybe a remarkable witch?), Em is also UN Women's Goodwill Ambassador. She made headlines this year after speaking  before the UN for the #HeForShe campaign.

  4. Emma Stone. After charming us with her performance in Easy A, Emma's been getting rave reviews for her performance in Birdman. Now she's headed to Broadway, starting off with the musical Cabaret.

  5. Miles Teller. This New York University alumnus stunned everyone with his performance as an aspiring jazz drummer in Whiplash—just one of the many A+ performances he's done. Have you seen The Spectacular Now and Rabbit Hole? We'll definitely be seeing Miles more this year as he is appearing in Insurgent, Fantastic Four, and La La Land.
