Easy A Star Emma Stone Is Spider-Man's Girl

Star of Zombieland and Easy A Emma Stone has been officially cast as Spider-Man's leading lady Gwen Stacy.

Stone was rumored to be offered the role of Mary Jane Watson (played by Kirsten Dunst in previous Spider-Man movies). Other celebs who were supposedly being considered for the role of Gwen Stacy (Spidey's love interest earlier in the comics) were Mia Wasikowska of Alice in Wonderland and Glee's Dianna Agron. Peter Parker will be played by Andrew Garfield who also stars in The Social Network.

Production for Spider-Man 3 will begin in December and is set to show in cinemas in July 2012. Marc Webb will direct. He also directed (500) Days of Summer.
