Diego Loyzaga was recently asked about his girlfriend of one year, Barbie Imperial, during a recent virtual press conference for his new movie, The Wife. The 26-year-old actor was asked why Barbie did not go with him to the U.S. where he is currently staying.
Diego quipped, "Patay tayo diyan," before explaining his side. According to him, it was a decision made on a *whim*. "I came here all of a sudden and it wasn't planned," he told members of the press. "I booked my flight a day before I left."
He also added that Barbie doesn't have a blue passport and that she wouldn't have been able to come with him even if she wanted to.Â
This comes after rumors of the couple calling it quits started circulating around the internet, though neither of them confirmed or denied anything. Netizens were also quick to notice that the two actors did not post pictures of each other during the recent holidays. Diego and Barbie recently celebrated their first anniversary last December 2021.
Despite neither of them clearing the air regarding their alleged breakup, Diego and Barbie remain active on social media. The former has been posting pictures and videos of his vacation abroad, while the latter has been uploading personal photos.
