It’s the end of the road for sports' power couple Alyssa Valdez and Kiefer Ravena’s romance.
The breakup was announced by VMG Asia, Alyssa’s talent agency, and was reposted by sportscaster Gretchen Ho. “JUST IN: VMG Asia Management officially confirms Alyssa Valdez-Kiefer Ravena’s breakup after a six-year relationship. Valdez’s camp clarifies there was NO third party involved,” the tweet stated.
The agency clarified that the couple's decision “does not involve any party,” urging everyone to “avoid making stories and false rumors.” They also asked for everyone’s understanding to let Alyssa keep matters private.
The volleyball star also took to her own page to repost the statement, thanking her fans for all their love.
Alyssa last spoke about their relationship in an interview with the Olympics, where she revealed that there's a "healthy competition" between Kiefer and her, who both represent the country in the SEA Games 2022.
"We were so surprised, at first he wasn't in the line-up, then at the last minute he's gonna go to Hanoi... the first thing he said to me was 'It's gonna be my sixth medal, hopefully, you'll get your first,' And I said, okay... That's, you know, some healthy competition between two athletes!"
The pair was together for six years.
