Working together on movies and TV shows often entails spending plenty of time together and eventually getting to know each other. Some co-stars end up realizing that they like click with each other and like the other person as more than a colleague. While it seems to be a common thing in the industry, here are a few fan-favorite and notable co-stars turned lovers in real life.
Co-Stars Who Ended Up Dating IRL:
Tom Holland and Zendaya
Tom and Zendaya were co-stars in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)'s Spider-Man films, where Tom starred as Peter Parker and Zendaya as MJ. They were rumored to be dating way back in 2017, but both stars have always denied the issue and maintained that they were just friends. In July 2021, rumors of the two dating sprouted after Page Six released photos of them kissing in Tom's car. They were also pictured together several times before that.
Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield
Another Spider-Man on- and offscreen couple, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield dated for years before eventually breaking up. Despite the split, the two remained friends and are supportive of each other. Emma is now married to director Dave McCary and they have one child together.Â
Tobey McGuire and Kirsten Dunst
The stars of the OG Spider-Man films also dated for a while after the first film. But reports say that by the time they worked on the second and third movies, the two were back to being just friends and co-stars.
Joey King and Jacob Elordi
Joey and Jacob starred in the Netflix flick Kissing Booth and eventually ended up dating for a year. By the time they had to work on the sequel, the two were already broken up.
Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse
Lili and Cole did not just play a couple on Riverdale as Betty and Jughead, respectively, but were also a romantic pair IRL. Although the couple liked to keep their personal affairs private, reports say that they started dating in 2018. In 2020, Cole confirmed on his Instagram that he and Lili officially broke up in March, after initially separating in January.
Camila Mendes and Charles Melton
There's another couple among the Riverdale cast, and it's Camila Mendes and Charles Melton, who play Veronica and Reggie, respectively. In 2018, Camila and Charles went Instagram-official. By 2019, the two have reportedly parted ways as a couple. Camile dated photographer Grayson Vaughan for a while but they eventually broke up in early 2021. In June of the same year, speculations of Camila and Charles getting back together started circulating.
ÂHarry Styles and Olivia Wilde
After Harry Styles got cast in Don't Worry Darling, a film Olivia Wilde is directing, rumors of the two dating sparked after they were spotted holding hands while on the way to the set, as reported by Page Six. Most recently, they were seen spending time together on a romantic vacation in Italy.
