Chie Filomeno and Kyle Echarri may have been evicted from Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10 just a week apart, but they have gained a massive following online due to their ~unexpected~ friendship inside the house.
In fact, when Chie joined the "Madlang Pi-Poll" segment of It's Showtime last November 23, she was asked who she missed most in the house. She named Kyle with no hesitation. "Kasi iba talaga yung bond na na-build namin sa loob. We really understand each other," she explained.Â
She continued, "We both worked at an early age. At siya, maaga siyang nag-mature. So, parang gusto kong ibigay sa kanya na it’s okay, na parang, 'Hanapin mo yung childlike mo,' at nakikita ko na parang nahahanap niya iyon sa bahay."
Before they became close, however, Chie admitted that her first impression of Kyle was "ma-ere." She also revealed that he sent her some private messages through Instagram before they were accepted in the PBB house, but she never answered any of them, causing Kyle to call her "snobby."
She explained, "Kasi may mga messages siya na hindi ko talaga pinapansin din. Kasi ako yung tipong, siyempre, hindi pa tayo nagmi-meet. So, hindi ko talaga re-reply-an, or magre-reply ako a few days after."
"So, pinaalala niya sa akin iyon. Siyempre, hindi mo maalala kunwari. Tapos ang tawag niya sa akin, 'Snobby ka talaga.'"
Things changed, however, when they started bonding inside the PBB house. They apologized to each other and opened up about their problems, thus causing their friendship to bloom.
When Chie got eliminated on November 20, Kyle was noticeably distraught. Fellow housemate Alexa Ilacad was seen comforting him as he cried: "Bakit ba lahat na lang nang napapalapit sakin, nawawala sakin?"
A week later, on November 27, Kyle was also evicted from the PBB house.
