Charlie Dizon is proving to be one of the brightest stars of her generation, so it was extra touching to see her uplift her fellow rising stars. On November 25, Charlie wrote a sweet appreciation post for her Viral Scandal co-star and onscreen sister Karina Bautista and it's honestly such a sweet gesture. ICYDK, Charlie and Karina play sisters in the teleserye—with Charlie portraying the role of Ikay Sicat and Karina playing her younger sister Bea Sicat.
In her post, Charlie gave a glimpse of what the relationship was like between her character and Karina's character, saying that Karina was both her sister and frenemy in the show. Despite referring to Karina as Bea (aka her role), Charlie also expressed how proud she is of Karina for coming so far since their first lock-in taping for the series. She says, "Ang layo layo na ng narating mo mula first cycle natin. Takot na takot ka pa non pero kita mo naman ang husay husay mo."
While it may seem like a random and simple appreciation post for Karina and a low-key way to promote her character and the show, it's actually such a thoughtful expression! On the same day, Karina shared a post on her Instagram expressing her worries about taking on the role of Bea and about letting loose and being more vulnerable as an actress.
Karina shares, "Feeling so emotional kasi sobrang kabado ako para sa role na ‘to kasi isa si Bea sa pinakamagandang character na natanggap ko. Iba ang hirap nung simula, pressure pa lang sa sarili ko sapat na haha pero it was worth it." She also added, "Sa trabahong ito sobrang mapaglaro lalo na sa emosyon at vulnerability na taliwas sa pagiging Miss Independent ko. Pero walang kasing saya kapag pumikit ka at hinayaan mong magpadala."
Knowing how she felt about this new project, it was nice to see that she can rely on her co-stars and onscreen ate for a confidence boost. Aside from Charlie, Karina is also pretty close with co-star and onscreen mom Dimples Romana! She recently spent a relaxing vacay with Charlie and Dimples' family, giving us the cutest pics with Dimples' real-life daughter Callie Ahmee.
