Not many may know it, but some of our favorite celebrities are also professionals who have served or are serving in the noble profession of nursing. From a popular musician to iconic actors, here are just a few famous personalities who are also nurses.
Celebrities with a nursing background:
Indie singer keshi (real name: Casey Luong) is known for songs like "2 soon" and "like i need u". ICYDK, he used to work as a nurse before finding success in the music industry. In an interview with Vice, keshi shared that he has been making music as 'keshi' since college, but that it was "an alias that nobody knew was me." He was still working his day job as a nurse while simultaneously releasing music, until one day, he decided to quit. A week later, he signed with Island Records, a label owned by Universal Music Group.
Disney kids would be familiar with Jennifer Stone. She played Harper, the best friend of Selena Gomez's character, on Wizards of Waverly Place. As of 2020, Jennifer is officially a registered nurse and is serving as a frontliner in the US.
Veteran English actress Julie Walters is known for many roles, including her portrayal of Molly Weasley in the Harry Potter films and Rosie, one-third of Donna and the Dynamos in the musical film Mamma Mia. When she was younger, she trained to be a nurse at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital before turning to performing arts.
Starstruck alum, actor, and model Rocco Nacino is also a registered nurse. In fact, he even holds a master's degree in nursing after graduating cum laude from St. Bernadette of Lourdes College in 2017. In 2020, he even administered a swab test for fellow celebrity Solenn Heussaff.
If you're an avid PBB enthusiast, then you might remember Jayme Jalandoni. She was part of Pinoy Big Brother: All In, which also featured Daniel Matsunaga, Maris Racal, Jane Oineza, Loisa Andalio, Joshua Garcia, and Michele Gumabao, as housemates, among other participants. Jayme was dubbed as the Devoted Daughter ng Las Piñas and is also known to be a nurse.
