Trinity University of Asia is a private, non-sectarian university in Quezon City and, in case you didn't know, the school has been home to several personalities in the local entertainment and media industry. Here are a few of the stars who were once students at TUA:
Maris Racal
The actress and singer once dreamed of becoming a doctor. She took up Medical Technology as a pre-med course at TUA in hopes of one day pursuing that goal. She had to stop, however, because her showbiz schedule was getting more packed.
Actress Erich Gonzales once thought of becoming a broadcaster, which is why even after entering showbiz, she decided to enroll at TUA to major in Mass Communication. She would juggle her showbiz commitments with her academic responsibilities.
Veteran actress Jean Garcia is also an alumna of the university. In 2017, she was awarded the Trinitian Media Practioner for Film, a special award at the Platinum Stallion Media Awards (PSMA) specifically for distinguished alumni who have made an impact in the media industry.
Actor Ahron Villena, who starred in teleseryes like Bagani and La Luna Sanggre, also graduated from the university and was likewise given the Trinitian Media Practioner Award.
GMA broadcast journalist Raffy Tima was a graduate of AB Mass Communication at TUA.
