Have you ever wondered what celebrities were like as college students? One can't help but wonder if they were achievers in school as much as they are now in the entertainment industry or if they also had bad days and sleepless nights. Below, we rounded up the times celebrities opened up about their precious college moments.

Shamcey Supsup

Shamcey Supsup is the kind of student we all aspire to be. She graduated magna cum laude at University of the Philippines - Diliman where she took up Architecture. The Miss Universe rep was admittedly grade-conscious not just in college but even as she was growing up. "It didn't matter if I really learned anything as long as I get the grade, I was fine," she shares in an Instagram post. Now, thought, the beauty queen has realized that grades aren't everything, and more than learning, it's how you apply and use the lessons you've learned that matters.

Iza Calzado

In an interview with PEP.ph, Iza recalls how she spent her college life and recalls her "pasaway" days. Iza was always a "tambay" at UST. She wanted to shift courses, but because she dropped her major subjects, she wasn't allowed to do so and ended up "floating."

"But you know what? God is good, life is good! And maybe when my mom died and I started getting these breaks from showbiz... Slowly, it was not an overnight thing, I learned to focus and know that I should be focused and at least have goals—good goals, at least," she adds.

Alexa Ilacad

Alexa Ilacad most recently played the young Bobbie Salazar in Four Sisters Before the Wedding, aka yung magaling, matalino, maganda—lahat na!—na anak. IRL, Alexa is also quite the student achiever. She got into the Dean's List twice at Treston International College and she did so while taping for the serye The Killer Bride.

Gretchen Fullido

News anchor Gretchen Fullido is an Iskolar ng Bayan during her college days and she's got quite the extracurricular activities. She started her career in journalism and at ABS-CBN as early as her sophomore year in college. She was also a UAAP courtside reporter for her alma mater.

Myrtle Sarrosa

Aside from being an actress, Myrtle is also a gamer. But she admits that she only got into gaming after graduating from college. As a student, she was hyper-focused on her studies and ended up graduating cum laude from UP Diliman. "Kasi nung college, hindi talaga ako naglalaro ng games, e, as in ano talaga ako tutok talaga ako sa pag-aaral," she says in an interview.

Maine Mendoza

For Maine Mendoza, her college life was, as she recalled in a blog post, "boring." "I was never a part of any organization, clubs and such," she says.

Even though Maine wasn't as active in extra-curricular activities, she did perform well academically--at one point, she landed in the dean's list. Despite this, Maine still regrets "not studying or trying enough." It all worked out in the end, though, as Maine is now one of the biggest stars of her generation.
