Acne is nothing new for many of us. It's been a recurring thing since our teenage years, and it's something that can persist even until we enter adulthood. And while it's not something we should be ashamed of, acne has been a constant struggle that heavily influenced our self-esteem, especially in the age of social media where we easily fall prey to comparing our looks to filtered photos and glass-skinned selfies.

While we enjoy the creativity we get to unleash through cute filters on social media and appreciate having skincare products that help us take care of our skin, we're also all for normalizing showing off our acne in bare-faced selfies. Even local and international celebrities alike have started being more vocal about their struggles with pimple breakouts despite working in an industry that puts importance in top-tier visuals.

Here, we list down celebrities who opened up about struggling with acne:

Kendall Jenner

The internet was abuzz with comments after model Kendall Jenner showed up on the red carpet of the 2018 Golden Globe Awards, unabashed by the visible acne on her face. She even responded to a tweet complimenting her showing up on the red carpet despite struggling with skin problems, saying, "Never let that sh*t stop you!" People were very supportive of Kendall and applauded her for staying real about a struggle everyone else experienced every day.
