Even though celebrities are already treading their own career paths, they're still free to dream of pursuing other professions just like us. In case you're curious, here are five local stars who have once aspired to work in the medical field:Â
Jodi Sta. Maria
The veteran actress is currently on her way to finishing a degree in Psychology and hopes to enter medical school if given the chance. If she does end up going to med school, Jodi once said she would like to specialize in oncology, the branch of medicine that deals with cancer.
Singer and actress Maris Racal once dreamed of pursuing a career in the medical field. Maris, whose sister is a frontliner, initially took up Medical Technology at Trinity University of Asia, but had to stop momentarily when her showbiz schedule got a little too packed. One day, Maris said she'd still want to pursue medicine.
Aside from being an actress, Elisse is also an entrepreneur. But another profession she wishes to pursue in the future is one in the field of medicine. One of the people she looks up to is her mom, who is a doctor by profession.
Before becoming an actress, Maricar Reyes was on her way to pursuing a medical degree. According to an interview, Maricar realized she didn't want to pursue medicine anymore when she was in her second year, but ultimately pressed on and graduated. She later on focused on becoming a full-time model, actress, and entrepreneur, but says that medicine is still "part of who I am."
Angeli Gonzales is an actress best known for her role in the TV servies Luv U. In 2019, Angeli finally got to graduate from medical school at De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute. Throughout her med school journey, she was also attending to her showbiz commitments. Aside from Luv U, Angeli also had roles in Got to Believe and Maalaala Mo Kaya.
