PH ARMYs, today is a good day. Not only did we get new content from BTS members V and Jungkook, we also got to hear something very special during their recent livestream.
The youngest BTS members held a live session today through streaming platform Vlive to make red carnations for Parents’ Day, a holiday observed in South Korea on May 8. While both were busy with their arts and crafts session, V—who fans like to call by his real name Taehyung—started reading the comments section.
Imagine PH fans’ surprise when he read a comment that said “mahal ko kayo.” According to the English translations made by fan account @btstranslation7, V kept on repeating it to Jungkook and figured that it was something they said a lot while on tour. Jungkook eventually says, “Doesn’t it mean ‘I love you?’” And basically, PH ARMYs’ hearts exploded.
Here's a vv relatable tweet from a PH ARMY, @yoongis_hands7, as well as the exact moment they said ILY in Filipino:
Just hearing them say it multiple times is already endearing. Knowing that they remembered what it means is just added bonus. To top it all off, here's a selfie fresh off the livestream. The week has just begun, but Filipino BTS fans are already winning.
