LOOK: BTS’ Old Insta Account Full Of Throwback Pics Has Been ~Mysteriously~ Resurrected

There’s never a boring day when you’re a BTS fan. Case in point: The keyword “bangtan” was trending on Twitter today after loyal BTS fans found out that their old Instagram account @bangtan, which the members used to post personal pics on before they officially debuted as an idol group, has ~mysteriously~ resurfaced. (In case you're missing out, the group's name, "BTS", is short for Bangtan Sonyeondan which roughly translates to "bulletproof boy scouts.")
The follower count of the Insta page is steadily rising and has over 651,000 followers as of writing. Currently, there are only 13 posts made using the account, majority of which are adorable pre-debut selfies of the group's leader, RM. The last post on the account was made on July 8, 2012, just under a year before the group officially debuted.
The group currently has one official Instagram account, @bts.bighitofficial, which is only used for official announcements and promotions related to their music. The official account is currently being followed by 26.9 million users. The seven members also share one collective Twitter account, @bts_twt, for their personal social media posts, which includes selfies, unofficial song covers, and travel photos.
Fans are now speculating about possible reasons why the old Bangtan account has suddenly popped up again after years of inactivity. Some are saying that it may be linked to a possible comeback, especially because the group is currently busy working on new music which they themselves will produce, from writing the lyrics down to shooting the concept photos.
As fans eagerly wait for the possibility of a 2020 Insta update on @bangtan, they will have to settle for scrolling through their precious teenage snaps.
