Rising P-Pop boy group BGYO has everyone on the edge of their seats with a series of mysterious teasers for their upcoming comeback this August 20 entitled "The Baddest."
On Monday, August 9, the five-member boy group started releasing a string of cryptic images and short video clips on their official Twitter page marked as "clues" that fans have since been trying to piece together. Multiple posts involved fans voting amongst a number of items in a locked safe through a poll on Twitter, where they would also later reveal the outcome behind each chosen item. So far, the fans have collected a notebook, watch, and lipstick, one of which even resulted to a dead end:
Today, they released another short clip featuring @redgoldmoon, an Instagram account with only two photos so far: one of wireless earbuds and another of a set of clipboards on top of a desk in what looks to be a security room. What could all this possibly mean?
While these items seem to have nothing in common to the untrained eye, some ACEs (aka BGYO fans) have accepted the challenge by putting on their detective hats and theorizing what connections these may have to the concept of the upcoming comeback:
Additionally, fans have also been speculating about Liza Soberano’s involvement in the comeback following a short video teaser released yesterday. The clip features members Gelo, Akira, JL, Mikki, and Nate walking into what looks to be a surveillance room while a female voice greets, “Hello, boys. Ready?” Soberano reportedly followed all of BGYO’s individual Instagram accounts on Sunday, August 8, a day before the mysterious teasers were released. ABS-CBN further encourages these speculations by teasing, "But wait, who's narrating?"
In other news, BGYO recently released the first two sets of concept photos for "The Baddest" with bunso-line members Nate and Mikki clad in cool, matching black-and-white 'fits.
This upcoming release will mark BGYO’s first official comeback since they debuted last January with “The Light,” a track the group has reportedly stated is "the opposite" of their upcoming single. (We don’t exactly know what that means, but we can’t wait to find out!) The boys are currently working on their full-length album as well as a joint concert with P-Pop girl group BINI later this year.
