Plenty of today's top YouTubers started at a young age, with some balancing their studies while working on digital content at the side. As if school work isn't heavy enough, imagine having to insert video editing or shooting in between academic tasks. Being a student content creator isn't as easy as it seems, but student YouTubers find ways to make it work for them.
For YouTuber Bella Racelis, being a student vlogger has been her life for quite some time now (she's been in the YouTube industry for six years now!). It's probably why many of her viewers are curious about how she powers through school and vlogging at the same time. Some even wondered if she gets special treatment in school or if she cuts classes to work on vlogger duties instead.
In a new video, Bella answers viewers' questions about what it's like to be a student YouTuber. One question asked if she gets special treatment from professors, and Bella's answer? Definitely not. "I don't think there's a reason why I should be treated differently sa school just because I'm a content creator. At the end of the day, I'm just a regular student just like anybody else," Bella explains. In fact, she actually prefers it if her professors *don't* know that she's a vlogger because she feels pressured. "Nahihiya talaga ako," she adds.Â
Another question for Bella was if she's ever gotten a bad grade or failed a class because she wasn't able to comply due to her work. Thankfully, it's never happened to Bella. To achieve this, she makes sure to finish her homework ahead of time, especially if she knows that her week is about to get busy due to her vlogger responsibilities. Being on time and not missing deadlines are a few things that her parents always tell her to be mindful of. She explains, "Ever since my 'career' on YouTube started, lagi akong nire-remind ni Mom and Dad that I always need to be punctual either sa work or sa school man 'yan."Â
