Barbie Imperial shared that she has "fully healed" from her recent breakup in her Magandang Buhay guesting. ICYDK, the 24-year-old actress was in a relationship with Diego Loyzaga for more than a year before calling it quits in February 2022.Â
Barbie said that her healing journey was not easy. "It took me months maging fully healed. Last month lang before my birthday. Kasi nalaman ko na hindi pa ako fully healed," she revealed.
"Kasi nung nag-break kami ng ex ko parang I tried to go out with someone, date lang, walang anything, walang label, walang ano. Tapos na-feel ko na 'Ay hindi ko pa kaya.' So medyo nag-hold back ako," Barbie admitted.
The 24-year-old actress said she wanted to achieve healing first before opening her heart to a new relationship.
"Sinabi ko sa guy na 'Sorry, I am not ready pa pala, parang I need to heal myself first, bago ako pumasok sa bagong relationship.' Kasi it's very important na buo ka, mag-heal ka muna alone, kasi masasaktan mo 'yung ibang tao if you don't heal," she noted.
She found out that she was *fully* healed when she woke up feeling okay already.
"Minsan kasi gigising ka na lang, akala mo okay ka na tapos paggising mo 'Ano ba 'yan 'di pa rin pala.' So lately, okay naman po ako na gumigising," she shared.
In her YouTube vlog from last July 2022, Barbie admitted that her breakup with Diego was the "most painful one" because they already talks about marriage, where they wanted to live, and other important life plans.
