2017 Thai film Bad Geniuswhich is inspired by true eventsintroduced us to Chutimon Chuengcharoensukying as Lynn, a scholarship student who comes up with an elaborate scheme to help others cheat on exams in exchange for money. Together with her new friend Grace (Istaya Hsuwan), rich kid Pat (Theeradon Suphanphinyo), and fellow "genius" Bank (Chanan Santithornkul), Lynn's scheme reaches ~international~ heights.

Most of us wanted a sequel, and it looks like we're getting our wish because Bad Genius The Series will be released this year!

What's it about?

The TV series was first announced in 2019, and it's produced by Thai entertainment company GDH (Gross Domestic Happiness). While some have been calling it a "sequel," it seems like the Bad Genius series is a spin-off of the movie and will continue to tell Lynn, Bank, Grace, and Pat's stories, but with a whole new cast. It is directed by Pat Boonnitipat.

The series, which will introduce us to a new batch of Thai stars, features June Plearnpichaya Komalarajun as Lynn, Jaonaay Jinjett Wattanasin as Bank, Ice Paris Intarakomalyasut as Pat, and Sawanya Paisarnpayak as Grace!

When will it be released?

As of this writing, an official trailer hasn't been released yet, but the cast has been sharing teasers on Instagram, and Bad Genius will start airing on August 3 in Thailand!
