The Miss Universe Philippines 2021 has concluded on September 30, and even though it's primarily a competition for one crown, the pageant was also an avenue for the delegates to grow closer with each other. Case in point: We've been seeing crumbs of sweet interactions among the pageant delegates on social media even after the coronation night has ended.
For instance, Ayn Bernos, who represented San Juan in this year's Miss Universe Philippines, recently took time to open up on Instagram about her experience with the pageant's swimsuit round. According to Ayn, the swimsuit segment was her "biggest worry" during the coronation night since she's had little experience with it and wasn't satisfied with her performance in the preliminaries. But as the go-getter that Ayn is, she made it a point to change her mindset and make sure she goes home happy with her swimsuit performance during the coronation night.
But it's not without the help of a trusty support system, which actually includes fellow delegate Princess Kristha Singh from Pasig. In her post, Princess was the first name Ayn mentioned in a list of people she was especially thankful for. According to Ayn, Princess—who's had a good deal of pageantry experience as Miss Tourism Philippines Luzon 2017—looked out for her during the rehearsals of the swimsuit portion. In her post, Ayn explained, "During our last run with the camera, she was backstage watching my walk. She said I needed to make the hair flip quicker, and I kept it in mind. I was even practicing it backstage and accidentally hit her with my extensions pls."

Together with a snap of her in her swimsuit 'fit, Ayn also accompanied her post with a TikTok video of her swimsuit walk in slow motion, putting a highlight on her fierce hair flip. All the times she's practiced seem to have paid off, and Ayn said that she's actually happy and proud of how she did.
During the coronation night, Ayn was able to secure her spot in the Top 16. Princess may not have advanced into the Top 16, but she won the special award Miss Copper Mask and took home a P300,000 cash prize.
