Andrei Sison, an artist under Sparkle GMA Artist Center, has passed away in a car accident on March 24, 2023. He was 16 years old.
His talent management confirmed the news on Instagram. "Sparkle GMA Artist Center sadly announces the passing of one if its teen artists Andrei Sison, due to a car accident early this morning. Our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of Andrei," they said.
"We request everyone to respect his family’s privacy in this time of great loss and join us in praying for the eternal repose of his soul. He was a well-loved and much-cherished member of the Sparkle family. We will miss you, Andrei. Be with God now."
Andrei's fans offered their condolences in the comments section of his last Instragram post.
Andrei gained popularity for posting dance covers and relatable videos on TikTok back in 2022, until he eventually switched to livestreaming with his fellow Sparkle artists. He was also slated to be introduced as one of the Sparkle Teens in April this year.
