Dreams do come true for Gen Z actress Andrea Brillantes, who could barely contain her happiness as she shared with fans snippets of Star Magic’s Beyond The Stars U.S. Tour last month. ICYMI, she jet-setted to the Big Apple with the rest of the Kapamilya network’s biggest stars to perform in front of thousands of Pinoy and international fans, even squeezing in a couple of shopping and city strolling on the side!
Giving everyone a pass on what happened behind the scenes, she documented a vlog and released it last night, much to her followers’ delight!
In the video, she told everyone that the tour marked an important milestone for her. They performed at the iconic Kings Theatre in New York, and the mere sight of it reduced Blythe to happy tears. She said, “Tiningnan ko lang yung theatre kung san kami magpe-perform and oh my god, hindi ko inexpect na ganito. It’s so much pretttier, more unreal, more surreal in person and kanina pa ako umiiyak.”
She went on, explaining how the experience meant so much to a small-town dreamer like her. “Kasi hindi ako laking-yaman, laki lang talaga ako sa hirap. Wala kaming kama dati. Di nga 'ko nakakatulog kasi nakakagat pa ng daga yung paa ko. Tapos pinapangarap ko lang makapunta sa New York. Pero never ko hiniling na mag-perform dito at ang saya-saya ko. I’m just so blessed to be given this opportunity. I’m so happy. I’m proud of myself.”
“Ang galing lang talaga kasi ang ganda ganda ng theatre. Ganitong ganito yung napapanood ko sa mga opera, sa mga movies. Pangarap ko lang makakita ng ganto tas ngayon nakakapag-perform pa ‘ko.”
Andrea also shared how ~healing~ the experience was for her, given her struggles in the past few months. “Sobrang dami kong pinagdaanan these past few months.. six months, five months ng 2022. Ginawa akong pulutan ng mga tao kasi every month may issue ako kahit wala naman akong ginagawa.
“Natawag akong problematic pero sila naman yung gumagawa ng problem sakin. And to be here right now, oh my god.. Yung happiness na nararamdaman ko ngayon nawala lahat ng sakit. Always be good lang guys and you guys will be blessed, I swear.”
