The local reality TV show Pinoy Big Brother has gone through so many editions throughout the years and produced some of the country's most sought-after stars today. One of the lucky applicants who made the cut is Andrea Abaya, who was among the thousands of applicants who auditioned via the livestreaming platform Kumu. Because of the COVID-19 restrictions, the show's fifteenth season, Pinoy Big Brother: Connect, had to look online for potential housemates that will enter Bahay ni Kuya in 2020.

As the season went by, Andrea eventually ended her PBB journey as the season's runner-up. Since then, she has amassed quite the following. Known as Andi by her fans, she's gradually making a name for herself in the showbiz industry. Curious about the reality TV star?

Andrea is born on January 8, 2002.

Andrea Dennise Lim Abaya, also known as Andi, is currently 19 years old and is a Capricorn. Capricorns are known to be highly disciplined, independent, and ambitious. They work hard to achieve their goals and always get the job done. As someone who ended up in second place in the reality TV competition, Andrea is doing quite well to represent her fellow goal-oriented Capricorns.

Andrea is on TikTok.

As a true Gen Z star, you'll find Andrea on various social media platforms, including the popular app TikTok. With almost 500,000 followers on the platform, Andrea (@iamandiabaya on the app) rides on the popular dance challenges and even invites over PBB friends to do fun TikTok videos together.

Andrea was a cheerleader in high school.

On PBB, Andrea was dubbed as the Cheerdance Sweetheart ng Parañaque. She attended De La Salle Santiago Zobel and was part of the school's cheerdance team. Before entering Bahay ni Kuya, Andrea was a freshman at De La Salle University.


Andrea has starred in commercials.

Aside from PBB, you've probably seen Andrea on various commercials. She also has experience in being a commercial model, having appeared in TV ads for brands like Eskinol and Charmee.

Andrea can sing.

Aside from being good at cheerdance, Andrea can also carry a tune. Not only that, but she can also play the guitar. She also has a YouTube channel with over 100,000 followers, which currently has the song covers she's made. So far, she covered the classic "Can't Help Falling in Love" as well as the Bruno Mars hit "Talking to the Moon." Check out her cover below:

Andrea describes herself as "jologs."

In a guest appearance on Magandang Buhay with hellow PBB housemate Amanda Zamora, Andrea shares that even though she was born into a well-off family and often speaks English, she also has a side of her that is very "kalog" and "jologs." While inside Bahay ni Kuya, Andrea shares that one of her most used words was actually "beh." Fans can also attest to this if they follow Andrea on her social media accounts!


Andrea is part of The Squad Plus.

In May 2021, Andrea was introduced as part of Dreamscape Entertainment's The Squad Plus, together with fellow PBB housemates Kobie Brown, Kyron Aguilera, and Haira Palaguitto. The Squad Plus originated from the Gold Squad, which originally consisted of Kadenang Ginto castmates Andrea Brillantes, Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, and Kyle Echarri.


Together, The Squad Plus members make various types of content on its YouTube channel as a chance for their fans to get to know them more and have fun with them. Aside from Andrea, other members of the group include Sam Cruz, KD Estrada, Anji Salvacion, Angela Ken, Jimuel Pacquiao, Alyanna Angeles, and more.


Andrea is soon starring in her very first showbiz role.

Fresh out of the Big Brother house, Andrea scored her first ever showbiz stint: a lead role in the film Caught in the Act, which she will star in together with Joaquin Domagoso. The movie will reportedly revolve around a group of senior high school students who invented an app that can help catch criminals.
