Kapuso star Alden Richards revealed that he's rediscovered his love for gaming during quarantine. Alden shares that he's been a gamer ever since he was young. And because the pandemic forced many of us to stay at home for safety precautions, Alden used video games as his outlet for recreation. Aside from playing, however, Alden has also ventured into streaming his games through #ARGaming on his official Facebook page for his fans to tag along his game adventures.
With his decked out gaming setup, Alden has played Mobile Legends and Ragnarok via Facebook Live while talking to and interacting with viewers. Recently, though, Alden held another stream--this time, for a charitable cause. In an effort to give back and extend a helping hand to those affected by Typhoon Ulysses, the Kapuso actor dedicated a stream for raising funds, 100 percent of which will be donated to typhoon relief efforts. Through the stream, Alden was able to raise up to P220,000 from his charity stream.
Because earnings from Facebook Gaming take some time to get processed, Alden went ahead and used his own money to donate the same amount he earned from the charity stream. "But apparently po it is delayed regardless of how much you get," the Kapuso actor explains. "So parang ako naman po, being on that end na, I don't want to delay anymore in two months. Kasi baka pagdating nung stars, tapos na e, wala nang itutulong."
