Where You’ve Seen The Actor Who Plays Young Lee Min Ho In 'The King: Eternal Monarch'
For all the long-time K-drama fans out there, Lee Min Ho probably ranks high on their list of favorite K-drama actors. I mean, who didn’t fall in love with curly-haired Gu Jun Pyo in Boys Over Flowers? Now, the 32-year-old actor is winning everyone’s hearts again in The King: Eternal Monarch, his first drama after coming back from military enlistment.
The show just premiered on Netflix with two episodes and is currently among the top-trending shows of the streaming platform. The first episode was already quite a treat for K-drama fans after seeing familiar faces in the cast. Case in point: Lee Min Ho got to reunite with Boys Over Flowers cast member Kim Young Ok!
Another familiar face you might have noticed is the actor who played the young Lee Gon, Lee Min Ho’s character in the show. Young Lee Gon was played by child actor Jung Hyeon Jun, who also happened to play Da Song in the Academy Award-winning film Parasite by Bong Joon Ho!
Being a cast member for an internationally-acclaimed film and playing the young Lee Min Ho in a drama--those are pretty great feats for an eight-year-old.
The King: Eternal Monarch is a romantic fantasy drama involving two parallel universes, one where Korea is a kingdom ruled by a young king and another one where it resembles present-day society. It stars Lee Min Ho, Kim Go Eun, Woo Do Hwan, Kim Kyung Nam, and Jung Eun Chae.
