In the realm of showbiz, it’s common for friendships to blossom into something more, sparking excitement and speculation about ~possible~ romances. Such was the case for AC Bonifacio and Nate Porcalla, who’s part of the P-Pop boy group BGYO.
The two have been speculated to be *dating* due to their close friendship, but AC swiftly addressed these rumors by saying that they just share a special bond.
“Everybody knows naman na Nate and I have been friends since seven years ago, six years ago ‘cause we both joined [Dance Kids Philippines] together,” AC said in an interview. “Ever since, we really have been friends, he’s a part of my group of friends outside the industry. A lot of people do ship us since dati pa po but, yeah, I don’t know what to say. We’re very, very good friends and we support each other through it all.”
However, the two recently made headlines when fans noticed that AC and Nate unfollowed each other on Instagram.
“Paanong nag-unfollow eh mag-best friend yan?” says one Twitter user.
Adding fuel to the fire, the Lyric and Beat actress recently posted a cryptic tweet that left netizens speculating about its meaning, as well as its *potential* connection to her relationship with Nate.
“Time is the ultimate truth teller,” AC tweeted on May 20, 2023.
According to Twitter users, speculations about their alleged *breakup* may have started when AC was linked to Pinoy Big Brother alumnus Ashton Salvador after the singer-dancer was spotted wearing the same shirt as him.
“My heart broke when I found out about this. Why oh why?” says one netizen.
“Kaya pala may pa-‘time is the ultimate truth teller’ si AC nung nakaraan,” says another.
As of writing, however, neither AC nor Nate has commented on the issue.
