A Vampire Movie for Every Mood
If you feel like: spending time with the Cullens
Watch: The Twilight Saga, a perfect storm of teen angst, love triangles, and sparkly vampires. Remember when you'd line up or stay up reserving seats during the height of the Twilight phenomenon? Put on your Twihard hat once more and relive those days by bingeing on all five films!
If you're up for: a spine-tingling story that spans 200 years
Watch: Interview with a Vampire, the Anne Rice adaptation starring a guilt-ridden vampire (Brad Pitt), a terrifying alpha vampire (Tom Cruise), and a sadistic baby vamp (Kirsten Dunst).
If you feel like: seeing Theo James in a different light
Watch: Underworld: Blood Wars (now showing), the latest in the Underworld saga which puts our beloved Four front and center as David the rebel vampire and ally of our heroine Selene (played by Kate Beckinsale).
If you're up for: a different kind of coming of age tale
Watch: Let the Right One In, a Swedish film that doesn't focus so much on vampire lore but more on the relationship between a young boy and his next-door neighbor, who happens to be undead. You can also try watching Let Me In, the Hollywood remake that stars Chloe Moretz as the vampire child.
If you want: some fun with your gore
Watch: What We Do in the Shadows, a hilarious mockumentary that shows the day-to-day (or night-to-night) life of a group of centuries-old vampires plus a newly turned one in modern-day New Zealand. Best to cap off your vampire weekend with this one so you can end on a happy note!
