The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is one of the most influential movie festivals in the world, like the Cannes and the Sundance, offering movie lovers a diverse mix of stories and story treatments. While we're drooling over the reviews, rants, and raves we see on the Internet for those who were lucky to see these movies in the festival, we're calling the movie gods to give these films a worldwide release so we can watch them, too!

1. This Is Where I Leave You. How do you deal with a life that suddenly undergoes an overhaul of sorts? You go through it with your family, of course. Based on the novel of the same title by Jonathan Tropper, This Is Where I Leave You stars the biggest names in the movie world like Tina Fey, Jane Fonda, Jason Batenan, Adam Driver, and Corey Stoll.

2. The Theory of Everything. In the tradition of sicktopia, TIFF brings us a love story put to the test—based on the life of English theoretical physicist and cosmologist Stephen Hawking who lives with a motor neurone disease that's closely related to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

3. Men, Women & Children. You may not feel it, but social media has shaped the way we communicate and deal with our lives so much. This movie adaptation based on the book by Jason Reitman attempts to show us that the Internet has truly changed the dynamics of our relationships—with ourselves and with the people around us.

4. Laggies. What happens when a high school student and an adult whose life is going nowhere join forces to have fun and live their lives guided by each other? Maybe disaster? But at least it's the funny kind of disaster we'd be willing to watch, especially because Keira Knightley and Chloe Moretz are the ones on the big screen.

5. The Riot Club. It's like Gossip Girl set in one of the world's top universities located in the United Kingdom with really handsome boys as club members who are given their first taste of power.

6. Clouds of Sils Maria. It's a war (sort of) between an old actress and a younger one as they both star in a film that has built the former's career. We wonder how big KStew's role in this movie is, though. Relax, we're just kidding.

7.  Whiplash. In one of this year's most critically-acclaimed film, Miles Teller's Andrew struggles to make it as a top jazz drummer under the mentorship of a fearsome instructor. And when we say fearsome instructor, we're not exaggerating.
