Wife to Jay, mom to Manny and Joe, and step-mom to Claire and Mitchell, she's vivacious and makes sure that she always stands up for what she believes in.
Without her, Modern Family just wouldn't be the same.
Gloria is the woman and the mom that some girls aspire to be. She makes being a mom look so easy—what with her fabulous style and humorous candor. Everyone can't help but love her. Then again, who can blame them?
- She's a mom who remembers important dates.
Birthdays and anniversaries are the norm. But Gloria is so sentimental, that she goes beyond that and remembers even the most minute celebrations.
To some, it may seem unorthodox. But to her, any day made special is worth considering a special occasion.

She knows the importance of second chances. As kids grow up, they often make wrong decisions and at times hurt people in the process. But just like any mom, Gloria is quick to forgive and is always ready to give a hug and a kiss.

Face it, moms are known to worry about the safety of their child. It's one of the ways they say "I love you" everyday. All those questions asking about how your day went and who you were with—they're a mom's way of reaching out to you.
They want to know more about you, especially during the times that they're not actually there with you. Remember, to her, you will always be her baby.

Moms have a tough job as role models. They have to lead not only through their words but also through example; and one of the best things a mom can teach her kids is for them to never be afraid of being their true selves.
Nowadays, it takes a lot of confidence to be who you really are. But sometimes, all it takes is the upbringing of an amazing mom to know that you shouldn’t have to change for society to appreciate you.

Gloria's bite may be worse than her bark, but the way that she sticks up for her loved ones whenever they're bullied is an admirable trait. Like a true Supermom, she’s not one to back down from a fight, especially if it means protecting someone she loves.

It stems from the age old saying of Mother Nature knows best. Moms love quoting this line, except of course, they leave out ‘Nature’ in their version.
But true enough, moms really do have your best interests at heart. Their experiences have made them wiser, and all they wish for is that you don’t make the same mistakes they did growing up. Moms always want their kids to be better than them. So if it means telling you to skip a day out with your friends so that you can focus on your summer school, she's probably got a point.
- She's a bit of a nut sometimes.
Whether your mom drives you crazy or gets on your nerves, never ever let those memories outweigh all the good ones. Think about the times she'd tell you to put on sunscreen, and how you'd grudgingly obey and feel grateful afterwards when someone else gets badly sunburnt. Or think about how she wakes up earlier than you during school days just so she can prep your baon and assure that you never go hungry.
Sure, your mom may be a nut sometimes. But that's why you love her. You love her because she cares. And you love her because she loves you, even more than she loves herself.
This Mother's Day, treat your mom to something special to let her know just how much you appreciate her. Don't worry, it doesn’t have to be expensive. It just has to come from your heart.
