5 Things You Missed While You Were In School (March 19)
Divergent premiered worldwide today, and we can barely wait when it hits Philippine cinemas! Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Ansel Elgort, Miles Teller, Kate Winslet, and the cast were present at the opening night in Los Angeles. The book's author Veronica Roth was also at the event. Watch the video below, which was taken during the red carpet premiere, and listen to the fans' deafening screams—especially when Theo made his entrance (he was late, but we didn't really mind). Don't forget, Divergent hits theaters here tomorrow. Make sure you line up for tix as early as you can to avoid long lines!
Netizens haven't stopped talking about Miley Cyrus's Bangerz tour, since it began almost a month ago. It made the headlines again today, but this time because of an unfortunate event. One of Miley's Bangerz buses caught fire! And just so you know, it wasn't just a stunt. Her sister Noah Cyrus even posted a video of the bus ablaze on the side of the highway. We're glad no one got hurt in the incident, as Noah announced in her follow up video. Phew!
Loved Little Mermaid as a kid? Then you're in for a treat. According to reports, Sofia Coppola is in negotiations to direct the live action adaptation of The Little Mermaid. No deets about how the Hans Christian Andersen novel will pan out on the big screen yet, but it's Sofia directing—so yay! In case you don't know her, she's the director of the movies The Bling Ring, Lost In Translation, and The Virgin Suicides. Exciting, right? Who do you think will play redhead mermaid princess Ariel for this adaptation?
While the Interwebs is still trying to move on from the shocking death of Crystal Reed's Allison on Teen Wolf, the actress has finally spoken up about why she's leaving the show. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Crystal said that her decision wasn't an easy one. But she wanted to explore other avenues of film and TV, so she had to do it. Aww! We're really going to miss her. What are your thoughts on Allison's death, Candy Girls?
Ariana Grande was super excited to release her duet with Chris Brown, titled "Don't Be Gone Too Long" on March 24. We were looking forward to it, too. However, a little problem got in the way—that is Chris's return to jail. Boo! But we totes understand the delay, Ariana, so no worries.
