It is no secret that Selena Gomez has been going through a tough time lately. But her fans and supporters were surprised when Radar Online reported that the former Disney princess checked in to a rehabilitation center in Arizona for two weeks last month. She even posted an Instagram video of herself showing off her dancing skills.

After the shocking news of Selena's secret two-week stay in rehab, her BFF Demi Lovato tweeted words of encouragement which may be for her close friend. We love how these two are always behind each other's backs no matter what happens!

To increase the global competitiveness of the Philippine educational system, major universities in the country are moving towards shifting the beginning of the school year to August instead of June. Earlier today, the Ateneo de Manila University has announced that its undergraduate and professional schools will adopt this in August 2015. The University of the Philippines system (except for its Diliman campus) will be adopting the new academic calendar for the next academic year 2014-2015. Meanwhile, De La Salle University, University of Sto. Tomas, and Adamson University are already thinking about changing their academic calendars, too. In the new academic calendar, the first semester will run from August to December and the second from January to May. Short term or summer term will be in June and July.
