After news of Rowan Blanchard joining the cast of A Wrinkle in Time, a Filipino child actor also landed a role in the same Disney film! Congratulations to Deric McCabe, who will be playing Charles, the brilliant younger brother of Meg Murry. Deric's mother proudly shared his hard work on landing the role, saying, "Deric worked hard for this: hours of auditions, callbacks, meeting, interviews... 17 page, 5 page, 3 page, 21 page scripts to learn overnight... while continuing to spend time with family, do his regular chores, and excel in school. MTRCB called for a conference with the creators of Till I Met You because of the "daring" episodes that aired on October 25, 26, 27, and 28. MTRCB explained that the reason for the conference was because the feedback they received from both social and conventional media, where some audiences found the scenes from the episodes inappropriate, even when they gave SPG and PG ratings. The tag "NO TO SELECTIVE CENSORHIP" and #TIMYPriorities trended on twitter in support of the show. (via push.abs-cbn.com)
