5 Things You Missed Today (November 21)
Our favorite gal to Instalk is back! Kendall Jenner confirmed our theory of having a social media detox. She told Ellen on the Ellen Show, "I just wanted a little bit of a break. I would wake up in the morning and look at it first thing, I would go to bed and it would be the last thing I looked at. I felt a little too dependent on it so I wanted to take a minute." It's only been a week, but we feel like it's been so long and we're glad she's back. Here's one of her latest posts that she captioned, "happy by me." (via teenvogue.com)
Kylie Jenner was a no-show to the AMAs, which reminds us about that time when her sister Kendall had to play Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts on The Late Late Show with James Corden. Kylie was supposed to guest on the show with her but cancelled last minute because she was feeling sick. ICYDK, on that very same day, Kylie was photographed by paparazzi in full glam makeup out on the streets. Kendall couldn't say anything about that so her consequence was to drink clam juice! LOL, but to be fair to Ky, that's not the case now. Her dog Bambi actually just gave birth! It was a pleasant surprise for her Italian greyhound to give birth to a pair of cute puppies on the day of the AMAs! Kylie also revealed via Snapchat that she's naming them Blue and Fawn. Aww, congrats! (via dailymail.co.uk)
From delivering news to making an appearance on the big screen, Atom Araullo is going to star in a comeback film by Mike de Leon, a filmmaker veteran. Before you worry about Atom's lack of experience in acting, we're pleased to let you know that Atom will be doing what he does best, and that's being a journalist! Who else is better to play the part than an actual reporter? To make things more authentic, Inquirer.net reports that De Leon plans to collaborate with Atom on the script. We're actually excited for the outcome of this project! What about you? (via spot.ph)
How cool is it that Hashtag member Jameson Blake won a Best Supporting Actor award for his first film ever 2 Cool 2 Be 4gotten for Cinema One's Originals film fest. The most notable award for Best Actress was given to Jasmine Curtis-Smith for her role as a lesbian character who fell for her best friend in Baka Bukas. Jasmine even mentioned the LGBT community in her speech, then thanked the cast members, the film director, and her boyfriend Jeff Ortega. Congratulations, guys!
"We have a voice. I am with you guys whether I am LGBT or not. I stand with you guys and I will be with you all the way." —Jasmine Curtis-Smith
The movies also won Audience Choice (Baka Bukas) and Best Film (2 Cool 2 Be 4gotten). You can still catch the films till tomorrow.
We might be seeing more of Ivan Dorschner on TV. You may remember him as an ex-PBB housemate along with James Reid's teen clash batch and Candy Cutie mini mag cover boy, but now, he's the newest member joining the Kapuso network. Ivan just signed management contracts together with I love OPM finalist, Addy Raj. We just can't wait to see more of this cutie on TV. (via pep.ph)
