Remember the reason behind Taylor Swift and Katy Perry's beef, which the "Style" singer explained in the 2015 story in Rolling Stone? Well, during Katy's Carpool Karaoke sesh with James Corden, the hitmaker revealed her side of the story and explained a ton of things.
"So there are three backing dancers that went on tour with her tour, right?" she started. "They asked me before they went on tour if they could go, and I was like, 'Yeah, of course. I'm not on a record cycle, and get the work, and she's great and all that. But I will be on a record cycle in about a year, so be sure to put a 30-day contingency in your contract so you can get out if you want to join me when I say I'm going back on.'"
On the year her tour started, Katy texted the three that she's going to begin the tour soon because she's close with them. They told her that they're just going to talk to the management. "And they did. And they got fired," Katie explained. "I tried to talk to [Taylor] about it, and she wouldn't speak to me. It was a full shutdown and then she writes a song about me."
Oh no, so that's what happened! We hope Tay's listening and they can patch things up in the future. :( (via Seventeen.com)
