5 Things You Missed Today (March 3)
You know what we're excited for aside from the Insurgent movie? Its soundtrack! Last year, we absolutely loved the songs from Ellie Goulding, Banks, Chance the Rapper, and more artists. This year, M83 teamed up with girl trio HAIM for the first song off the Insurgent soundtrack, "Holes in the Sky." It's super haunting and it's been giving us chills since we first listened to it this morning. Do yourselves a favor and listen to the track now because you'll be hitting the replay button for sure as soon as it ends.
Speaking of Insurgent, the series' author Veronica Roth is working on a duology. After the best selling Divergent Series, HarperCollins announced that she is working on a YA story set in space. According to the publishing house's press release, the books are about "a boy who forms an unlikely alliance with an enemy. Both desperate to escape their oppressive lives, they help each other attain what they most desire: for one, redemption, and the other, revenge." Are you excited about this news? And more importantly, who would you want to star in its movie adaptation?
Remember Cressida from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 who was portrayed by Natalie Dormer? The actress now stars in the music video for Hozier's newest track from his self-titled album. The MV for "Someone New" shows Natalie daydreaming about getting intimate with a strangers just so she can forget about a lost love. Aww.
Zayn Malik's first solo gig has been confirmed, but he's not leaving One Direction. RELAX. Naughty Boy (who most people know worked with Sam Smith for his song "La La La") revealed that the cutie is going to be featured on his upcoming record. "I can't deny the fact that we have made music together. Zayn is going to feature on my next album," he said "We're making music and having fun. This is just like a side gig and I don't think there's anything wrong with it." Who's excited to listen to this track just like us?
Speaking of One Direction, another handsome fella from the group made headlines today. We know you're all big on styling your hair, Candy Girls. So when one fan captured a how-to of Harry Styles's famous man bun recently, we knew you just had to watch it, too. Okay, show this to your favorite boys ASAP so they can grow their hair and do this, too.
