5 Things You Missed Today (August 25)

Don't miss today's updates on those 1D rumors, Demi Lovato and Iggy Azalea's collab, Selena Gomez talking about Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift, and Kendall Jenner and Emma Roberts's campaigns.

Rumors about One Direction's breakup have been going around for a while now. We, Directioners, are clueless as to what we should prepare for and are confused with how we're supposed to feel. So when Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne (we're still waiting for yours, Harold, hee hee) broke their Twitter silence to shed some light on the issue, we were relieved. Yup, they're not breaking up. They'll only be taking a well-earned break from working. And we couldn't agree more. These boys need to rest up, too. (via MTV.com)

After Demi Lovato's empowering song "Confident" from her fifth album leaked online, her BFF Iggy Azalea dropped the bomb on her collab with her soon-to-be bridesmaid. Sadly, they're not releasing it as a solo (which means having a music video of the song is is close to zero, huhu) but we'll take whatever they release because for sure, it's going to be as inspiring as all of their songs. In Selena Gomez's latest interview with UK's Sunday Times, the "Good For You" hitmaker talks a bit about her controversial relationship with Justin Bieber. "I didn’t think I was doing anything bad by falling in love," Sel said. "There's such an emphasis on people being the perfect thing and then destroying them because it's good press." Our fave part is when she talked about her friendship with Taylor Swift, though: "I can count on one hand the people I could call and who would be there for me. Taylor is one of the greatest people. When I split with my first boyfriend and I was really sad about it, she flew into town with homemade cookies and a bunch of junk food." #FriendshipGoals, right? (via JustJaredJr.com)

Kendall Jenner's Estee Lauder campaign ads are TDF. What do you think of her latest one which she uploaded on Instagram recently? Vogue also explained what the Modern Muse means in their own posting of the teaser. Watch it below now! (via MTV.com)

Speaking of campaigns we love, we're absolutely cray about Emma Roberts' latest one with Aerie called #AerieREAL. This is part of the brand's move to fight unrealistic beauty standards. Speaking with Refinery29, Emma reveals how she felt when she knew that her photos won't be retouched or Photoshopped. "I've actually never felt more confident and comfortable on a set—which is amazing, because you don't have that safety net," she said. "But I saw the photos and was like, you know what? This is great—this is just me, in clothes I feel good in, being who I am." We're proud of you, Em! (via Refinery29.com)

PRIMO.

First. Pixie dust and paper cuts – these are the first things Wendy knew about Peter Pan. Aurora first met Prince Philip when she was sixteen. Learning how to ride a bike was also a first while I was growing up, but you are probably the first of too many. The first collection of dust and stars; maybe Luna will try to ask, who was your first? I might answer and tell her that it was you.

The first of too many stars in the sky. You are the first of too many fallen leaves during fall – and you will be the most anticipated snowflake as winter comes. A dark path that you can’t see without any light, hence, you were once the moon and there are the stars that shine so bright at night. Are we too early? Or we just really want to be ahead of time? Even in a glimpse, I would like to see the two of us connect as if we can reach the sky. There are other parts of the heavens you have never saw and other oceans you haven’t laid your feet onto – but the constellations will always wait for you. Close your eyes, love, close your eyes. Start counting backward: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Count backward until you see the twinkling lights that will guide you to the right path. To the right satellite; to the right person. A first.

There are many firsts – first love, first heartbreak, first sport you played, the first thing you do in the morning, the first thing you remember about the person in front of you. There are a lot. It’s actually up to us how we will consider something as a first. So, Primo, you are already a first of too many.
