Is it just us or did Taylor Swift's new post give you the chills, too? This girl is definitely up to something and we're v v excited for it! She posted a video of a moving snake's tail, which as of this writing already got more than five million views! If you think this is nothing, take this: she also deleted ALL of her photos except for that said post. We think it's new, awesome music, but a lot of fans seem to think it's new music about Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, and Katy Perry. Guess we'll all find out soon! (via cnn.com)

During the press conference of Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia's new movie, I Love You to the Stars and Back, the media got to interview not just the stars of the film, but also Julia's mom Marjorie Barretto. Naturally, the questions were leaning towards Julia's relationship status with Joshua. "Okey ba sa akin? I'm a cool mom. Basta mababait sila, mabuti sila sa mga anak ko, okey ako. Matatalino naman ang mga anak ko,  I trust in their judgment." She also said that she likes it that Joshua is close to his family and that he likes being with Julia's, too. Best of all, "Kasi magaling siyang makisama. He's a good friend to my other kids, he's fun to be with. Mabait si Joshua, he brings out the best in Julia, inspired to work hard. Yung ganun, okey ako." Aww! We think so, too! ♥ (via pep.ph)

The "H" in Harry Styles' name might as well stand for "history" as the lad has been making a lot these past few months. A few weeks ago, he became the first person to have a single ("Sign of the Times") and movie (Dunkirk) debut at number one. This month, he's set to appear on a BBC special all about himself. How cool is that? In the hour-long special hosted by good friend Nick Grimshaw, Haz will perform a few of his new songs, talk about One Direction, and spill what it's really like to be a solo artist. We're def blocking our scheds as early as now to tune in, 100% (via j-14.com)

It's nice to see celebrities fangirl over their idols because it makes them more relatable. Case in point, Nadine Lustre, Andrea Brillantes, Gabbi Garcia, Donny Pangilinan, Gretchen Ho, Angelina Cruz, Donny Pangilinan, and Alex Gonzaga who were all at Ariana Grande's Philippine leg of the Dangerous Woman tour last night! Archie Andrews and the gang from Riverdale are going on tour as a band in The Archies, an ongoing book series from the beloved comics. While on tour, they'll get to meet a lot of people and real-life bands, like the indie band Chvrches. This is such a big deal since Chvrches is the first ever IRL act to crossover and guest-star in the comic book. What's cooler is they get to be drawn as comic book characters themselves! Cold Food

The most thrilling and delightful moment of any school day is opening up your baon during breaks. There is always so much excitement in unveiling your homemade meal and snacks housed inside matching heat-insulating containers. Because preparing packed meals is an age-old tradition of showing parental love, loved ones pour effort into curating a nutritious meal accompanied by a selection of side dishes, desserts, and beverages daily; it reminds us that we are being taken care of, even from far away.

Baon plays a significant role in a Filipino childhood. Almost every Filipino child comes to school with baon made especially for them by their parents or household helpers. Even Filipinos in the labor force continue to bring baon for varying reasons: to save money, recycle leftovers, cater to personal taste, or attend to special needs. Nonetheless, eating your baon is a heart-warming experience that allows Filipinos to bring a piece of home along with them wherever they go.

Even other cultures practice making packed lunch. In Japan, mothers create bento--Japanese meals in partitioned boxes. Because of the popularity of bento, trends have emerged, such as the Kyaraben, or character-themed bento. Naturally, Japanese parents and students began competing for who had the cutest and tastiest bento, and this is similar to what I have witnessed in my own childhood. I remember seeing my classmates sharing their snacks and lunches. They would compare and boast about their parents' or yayas’ cooking. In my case, I never had the chance to join in the competition or indulge in homemade cooking. Up until this day, I have never brought any baon to school.

For a long time, I envied others. As trivial or petty as it may seem, not having baon became a problem for my grade school self. During that time, I had to sit in a separate cafeteria away from my friends because the kids who bought food were assigned to sit elsewhere. You could consider me spoiled, but I wanted to experience something most kids did. I had food at home, so what made it so hard to bring some with me to school?

Now that I am on my final year in high school I have come to realize the benefits of purchasing my own food. Since I spent on food everyday, I learned to budget my allowance at a young age. Over the years, I learned to practice self-control whenever I wanted to eat more greasy fries and drink sweetened beverages. I have tasted the strangest viands at the school cafeterias, and I have repeatedly satiated myself over my latest delicious discoveries. Despite the struggles, I am thankful that I have never had baon because of what I have learned. Not to mention, I never had to experience eating cold food.
