All week long, you've probably been seeing WE KNOW NOTHING, IT IS KNOWN, and general all-caps keysmashing on your feed. You can thank the return of Game of Thrones for this happy explosion. Season six is a particularly big deal because the genre-bending show has caught up to the books that it's based on, meaning even readers know absolutely nothing about what's going to happen. It's frightening and exciting, and it’s definitely a wonderful time to be alive.
Below are the five stages of happiness one experiences when one's favorite show returns, which you can probably relate to even if you're not a fan of Game of Thrones! (And if you are, we must discuss! Leave a comment below or tweet us @candymagdotcom!)
- Disbelief

What do you mean it's back? Is it that time of the year again? Where did the time go? One second you're thinking you can't survive without your weekly fix, and the next thing you know, your favorite show is back in your life and asking to spend some quality time with you, and honestly who are you to say no?
- Excitement

- Indecisiveness
Should you watch ASAP or should you wait for all the episodes to come out so you can marathon everything in one glorious day? Decisions, decisions... Oh, who are you kidding—you know you're watching as soon as you get home from school!
- Having no words
That's what happens when reality surpasses your highest expectations. So many things happening, so many things NOT in the books, we know NOTHING like a certain someone who we still can't believe is dead.
- Gratitude
Thank the old gods and the new for the blessing that is this season. Our bodies are ready for the rest of the episodes!
