It's difficult to imagine a pretty boy like Song Joong Ki go from typical "nice guy" to a man who plots revenge on his first love, but our Captain Yoo Si Jin pre-military days pulled it off effortlessly in this 2012 drama. Aside from his excellent portrayal as Kang Ma Roo, you'd also enjoy his intense moments with Seo Eun Gi, the aggressive go-getter played by Moon Chae Won. No wonder there are still #ChaeKi shippers even to this day!

That Winter, The Wind Blows

In 2013, Song Hye Kyo wowed viewers when she took on the challenging role of a blind heiress. Starring opposite Jo In Sung (who happens to be one of Joong Ki's closest friends in real life!), the show garnered well-deserved buzz for the actors' performances and lovely cinematography. Fun fact: TWTWB was In Sung's acting comeback after serving in the military, similar to how it is now with SJK and DotS.

This series was such a huge hit that it started a food craze, made a certain brand of lipstick fly off the shelves, and spawned all sorts of extreme behavior from viewers around the world!

Secret Garden

A "meet cute" brings about an unlikely relationship between a young department store CEO and a tough stunt woman. Things get even more complicatedwhen they find themselves in several instances of body swapping! Written by Kim Eun Sook (who co-penned Descendants of the Sun), this award-winning show puts a twist on the rich guy-poor girl plot with just the right amount of fun and magic.

The Heirs

Take a peek into the lives of rich high schoolers who have to deal with the downsides of being born into privilege, and how an ordinary girl manages to keep up with them while chasing a better life for herself. Aside from popular stars Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye, keep an eye out for two Descendants of the Sun stars: Kim Ji Won (army doctor Yoon Myung Joo) and Jeon Soo Jin (emergency nurse Ri Ye Hwa, aka Doctor Daniel's wife).
